We're proud to announce that long time top line spdo's racer Reno Koots has recently joined forces with TRR. It's a man who we know from a lot of top leagues and I still recall our only MoE win together back in 2009 and a great fight for victory in last MoE's 24h race, obviously that time with different teams.

He's still living in Estonia and is always open for fun challenges. A warm welcome to a good friend.

Alright, finally an FZ5 race. Soddi bo that some drivers that always try to beat me didn't show up today, but I had loads of fun anyway. It's about the only car you don't want the race to ever end.

Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed your time. I had a good laugh when I saw CQ car flip in my mirror.

To celebrate braking 2000 LFS victories mark Kiste, who already helped TRR with car skins, and Mullog, master helmet skinner, have helped me with new helmet design. A big thanks to them and to Bose for the render.

For everyone else I have special surprise in store. As a leader in !lp GT2 points on cargame and someone who has raced there for a year or more I have decided to share all of my sprint FZ2 setups with you. You can find them on www.setupgrid.net. Enjoy.

As far as I've noticed you're making too much of a big deal out of this. As if it's some kind of obligation on your back that you for sure don't want. Let me tell you something, even without this obligation you guys turn out to make a great show every time around.

You always have entertaining commentary, pretty regular from Thilo, Dom, Csf, yourself and whoever else and you even have all the tracker on the stream stuff, support from Fuse with those nice screenies and music, I just don't see a problem. It's been working like this for years and of course the next day it all could fall apart, because non of us likes obligation.

But, think agian, you're doing it just for the fun of it and nothing is changed, except that your work will be just more appreciated. Surely that can only help to at least keep you guys motivated and perhaps if someone drops out, someone else will come to replace him fast for sure, hell if it's needed I'll do commentary when I'm not in my stint. So you know, it's still the same thing, there's nothing to be afraid of.

Isn't it just about presenting some good racing to the world what we should be doing here with this opportunity to get ourselves on their page? It's not like we need to make anything special, it's just that we share it with wider range of sim-racers. If they're not interested, well fine then, nothing we can do about it, but what if they are interested to check-in the broadcast and they never knew because we simply couldn't be bothered to put a link out there.... There were streams for each of GT2 races and so there will be for GT1WS races and you know it damn well. So stop being so American. :P

Quote from PMD9409 :Thanks NIKI, Deko will most likely be all over that.

I hope he does and that some other leagues follow him as well. You know it's much cooler if we get, what 500, a 1000, or even more viewers instead of 30-200.. Will surely bring some interesting people here and maybe LFS finally fits into the whole sim-racing community with all the other sims, rather than just being alone on the side-lines, thinking we're the best sim with best physics.

We should get at least our best league up in there, say next GT1WS.

Quote from Byku :Yeah I know , but still even I would prefer to drive "unrealistic" Scirocco(but propably still the most realistic on the game market ;P), that not playing it at all for another year ;]. Anyway, sry for the offtopic .

Honestly, I personally don't give a rats ass if Scirocco is ever released or not, I'd much rather see those RWD beasts and/or new tracks.

Quote from Byku :I have to agree with TVE that what we need right now in LFS is something fresh. Something new to learn and discover. The physics update can wait, You could release Scirocco at least .

The cars are directly related to tyre physics, how hard is to figure that out. The tracks, aren't. Go S3 early alpha.

Quote from Bmxtwins :Ontopic: Good, get this hacker outta here.
Offtopic: Last I heard was that the tyre physics completely failed and you guys had to start over 100%. Is this true.

Ray please. They started with new tyre physics system years ago and posted some development reports about it...

And great to see that this hacker (goddamn ruiner of fun) might be gone forever.

Thanks for the little report Scawen and I gotta say I agree with TVE on content stuff.
I mean it's not like S3 will not have updates and it sounds to me like Eric had been working, at last. And you know the updates come faster when you work with the community. :P
Man I'm so excited that you finally posted.

Quote from GreyBull [CHA :However, as a rule of thumb, I'd say that it's best to learn with whatever you're the most comfortable with. And in this case, for most beginners it's usually FWD.

Quote from Mario Andretti :"If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough."

In other words, to be comfortable is not good.

Quote from AlienT. :Hey! Nothing wrong with front wheel drive NIKI!

No, no... I myself enjoy FWD occasionally as well, there is nothing wrong with it. Just for a new starter I'd say it's better to start with RWD, such as if you start in real life with karting and junior formulas they're all RWD as well. It doesn't matter that he'll make mistakes, what matters is that he will learn and getting on with FWD will be much easier for him if we starts with RWD as well as RWD will be much easier for him. We used to have a saying half a century ago in our country that Fićo, which was the most roughed car, who passes driving exam on that can drive anything, unlike today where you pass ur exam in all this fancy cars and once you've got a difficult car on your hands you're lost.

btw, Nice racing.

Just to add something to Rocky's post. You might compare it with a top line F1 driver. When he get's it on podium there are all praises around him and when he's stuck at the back suffering issues from the car or bad luck, only critics arise from the same medias, but there are always few of those that keep faith in him and when he successes they are again joined with everyone in praises. But they would never succeed if they let critics who don't know what they are talking about and are just looking to pounce on current situation to make a story get to him, because he sees more into the distance than them.

kid i think you need some seriousness to it to master it, since you said you want to master it. Mastering anything out there takes effort, constant effort. Now, because something is difficult and it takes effort and is at times serious, it doesn't mean it's not a joy. Perhaps, it's not a joy non-stop and to be frank with you, whilst racing the less emotion you have, the better off you are and you'll hear this from many great champions thru the years and something some of us have discovered thru the years that indeed has big effect.

Anyway, to get back to the point, you probably know from many videos and maybe you'll feel it yourself once you get it done, get it properly done and maybe even win something the explosion comes back to you and you realize all that effort was there for something. That is what racing is about. It's nothing like drifting where you just pull something off and feel good about it, it's about what you achieve as much as anything else. And you'll find that once you put a proper effort to it, that you you are suddenly driven to go for more because of unconstrained desire to improve.

It's almost as if it's a see that spreads over the horizon in every way where you not only are detainment to improve your driving, but the race craft and the whole approach to it only to find out that everything is connected again and that every time you see the limit it shatters before your eyes and drags you in deeper and deeper.

P.S. To give a very concrete advice. Start with RWD cars right away. They are more complicated to control and switching from them to FWD will always be easier than the other way around, plus if this wasn't true, best races and best fun is always in RWD cars.
